Ready to put the daydreamy self-reflection of Pisces season to sleep and resuscitate your goals? You better be, because the Sun, astrology’s biggest and brightest luminary, is shifting into energetic fire sign Aries. Coinciding with the Equinox, Aries Season, which lasts from March 20 thru April 19, is a season of new beginnings—literally: It marks the beginning of the astrological new year. And like most New Years celebrations, the Sun’s shift into Aries sees this time of year sizzling with excitement, enthusiasm, and eagerness about what’s to come. 2025 Aries Season is crackling with all that and more.

Aries is a cardinal fire sign, and in astrology cardinal means initiating and fire means action. Ergo: Aries season is your season to trail-blaze and set your personal goals on fire. When the Sun is in Aries it’s telling you: just do the damn thing, already! So, if ever there was a time to get a little headstrong about your goals, purposeful about your projects, and bravely believe in your own awesomeness, it’s now. With Aries season, there’s a seemingly inexhaustible reserve of pioneering energy and gumption to initiate new creative projects or inspiring ideas. It’s as if your motivation, creativity, and entrepreneurial drive get reborn during Aries Season.

Rebirth is a major theme for 2025 Aries Season, thanks to a trifecta of rebirth-style transits happening in Aries, the sign of rebirth and renewal. Sure, Mercury & Venus are retrograde, and will remain that way until about mid-April. OK, fine. Whatever. You’ve powered through a Mars Retrograde (in the sign of its detriment, no less), you can make it through a couple more weeks of tech glitches, typos, and relationship reflection, right? Right. Beyond those two retrogrades, we have a couple of cazimis in Aries, an Aries Solar Eclipse, and Neptune entering Aries. Cazimis are powerful Sun conjunctions that signify a rebirth in a planet’s cycle (for retrogrades, they mark the halfway point of the Rx cycle). The Solar Eclipse is a potent, supercharged rebirth. Lastly, Neptune moves into the 0 degree of Aries, signifying a HUGE rebirth of your ideals and those of the collective. Of course, Mars in Cancer (which technically rules these Aries transits) may make it feel like you’re still sputtering and zigzagging towards your aims. Does that mean you can’t get anything done during this time, or that you shouldn’t even try? Absolutely not. As any Aries will tell you, you can’t get where you want to be if you don’t just go for it. Still, you want to balance action with caution.

Your Cosmic Weather Forecast for 2025 Aries Season

Buckle up! The next 30-ish days are action-packed, as though the planets want to rush through everything, while simultaneously making everything feel slow AF. Seriously, Aries Season has A LOT of astrology (20+ transits). Instead of combing through every single transit, which would make this forecast 10 years long and probably make your eyes bleed, I’m only going to give you your Aries Season Horoscope—aka, what part of your life that the Aries Sun is activating, what rebirth you can expect, and what to do about it. But first, let’s talk about the mosh pit of those other MAJOR Aries season transits.

Venus & Mercury Cazimi / Pisces Retrograde

The Venus Cazimi on March 22 is a heart-centered rebirth, reigniting desire, self-worth, and courage to boldly center your values on what you truly want. It’s like a phoenix moment for your identity, self-belief, and desires. Similarly, the Mercury Cazimi on March 24 is a mental rebirth—a moment of undiluted clarity, where you may have a bold new idea or a fresh perspective on a current goal / idea. It’s a day to burn away any preexisting doubt or hesitation. Together, the Venus & Mercury cazimis mark a powerful renewal that dares you to go after what (or who) you truly want—no second-guessing, no playing it small.

It’s important that you do something with this energy—journal your desires, make a vision board (lol), write out a new mission statement…something. Because Venus Rx re-enters Pisces on March 27 and Mercury Rx re-enters Pisces on March 29. With these shifts, your reflections get even more reflective—if not a little emotional and messy. Mercury is in its fall in Pisces, and the retrograde just pulls focus to the misfires and mental mayhem so characteristic of this transit. It’s useful to look back to what you were doing / planning / writing / valuing in January and February. Because something there is up for review. When Mercury & Venus move back into Pisces, we go from being reborn to re-entering the womb.

Mars square Chiron / Aries Solar Eclipse

The 2024 Solar Eclipse in Aries saw a conjunction between Chiron and the Eclipse, so that Chiron is now squaring Mars on the 2025 Aries Solar Eclipse is interesting to me. Because Mars rules Aries and this eclipse. The planet of action, motivation, and aggression is also struggling in Cancer. It’s still sluggish, weighed down by emotions, which prevents it from making a move.

When Mars squares Chiron on March 26, there’s an inflammation of the identity pains you / we are already struggling with. The planet of conflict, aggression, and heat is pouring salt on an open wound, potentially triggering (even more) discord, hostility, or a war of words. It’s heated and incendiary, but it’s also forcing you to pay attention to what hurts. Chiron is in Aries, so these hurts are connected to the same values and plans you’re reflecting on with Venus & Mercury Retrograde in Aries. Mars in Cancer isn’t overt with its provocation, it’s very cloak and dagger. So, chances are this square won’t be super obvious—but it will be felt.

This square is still ripe and raw on March 29, the day of the Aries Solar Eclipse. This Solar Eclipse is beginning a new, final chapter in the Aries/Libra storyline we’ve been dealing with since 2023. This is the last eclipse we’ll have in Aries for another 20 years. It brings an accelerated new beginning for leadership, authority, and maybe even identity. For you, it’s kickstarting a potent rebirth for your identity. Neptune in Aries

On March 30, Neptune enters Aries. This is BIG astrology, because the last time Neptune entered Aries was in 1861. People are going to say this transit “coincided with the U.S. Civil War,” when really, Neptune was still in the 29th degree of Pisces when the Civil War started. But anyway, Neptune leaving Pisces and moving into Aries is both a spiritual, ideological, and creative / cultural rebirth on a massive, sweeping scale. It marks the end of illusions, dissolutions and delirium, and starts a brand-new era of raw, unfiltered belief and action.
