2025 Neptune Retrograde Wants YOU to Rethink Your Dreams
Please hold, while your ideal life is being reassessed 🌀
What: Neptune Retrograde in Aries/Pisces
When: July 4 - Dec. 10, 2025
Who’s Impacted: EVERYONE, but esp. Aries & Pisces.
TL;DR: for the first time in our lifetimes, the planet of illusion stations retrograde in bold Aries, before swimming back into dreamy Pisces. This five-month backtrack rewinds your beliefs, ideals and fantasies, asking: are your dizziest dreams still worth believing in?
Your inner vision board is in need of a major review. Neptune Retrograde in Aries starts July 4, and if there was ever a time to drop the delusions and start chasing your boldest dreams—it’s now. Seriously, Neptune Retrograde in Aries pulls focus to the dreams, ideals, grand plans, and passionate fantasies fogging the Aries part of your life and chart. It’s saying: “Stop waiting for the dream to come true. Choose the fantasy that fights back—the one that wants a real-world form, not just a Pinterest mood board. Then, start doing it, even if your hands are shaking.”
That’s exactly what I’m doing with Queens of Noise, the short film I’m co-writing and co-directing with my Libra partner, Jeff: taking the foggiest, weirdest, most half-finished fantasy I’ve carried for years and lighting a fire under it. Jeff and I have been pouring our mental, physical, and creative energy into Queens of Noise for three years. In typical air sign form, we talked about doing it. A lot. Now? We’re finally making it. We’re finally mobilizing. We’re finally taking action.
Queens of Noise is messy, funny, absurd, and deeply personal. It’s about two best friends/bandmates in their 30s with nothing figured out—and what happens when they finally stop waiting and go all-in on a long-delayed dream (with a stolen duffel bag full of dirty cash, no less). Think: Thelma & Louise meets The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but with music. Yeah, it’s funny—like, really funny—but it’s also deeply personal. Inspired by our former lives as musicians (I play the bass and Jeff plays the guitar) and all the grand rockstar dreams we had for ourselves way back when, Queens of Noise is our loud, messy, punk AF reminder that you’re never too old to bet on yourself.
In so many ways, this film is my Neptune-in-Aries moment. My creative rebellion. My “do it scared” phase. Because I am scared: I’m co-directing a professional film crew and professional actors from LA & New York. I’ve never directed anything apart from the Barbie “movies” I made with my dad’s VCR camcorder when I was 14! I’m waaaaay out of my element. Yet I’m also, strangely, in my element. I’m finally doing one of the things I’ve always dreamt of doing. Best of all, I’m doing it alongside my best friend and partner. And we’d so appreciate your support.
Donate any amount to the Queens of Noise IndieGoGo by July 11 and, in addition to the IndieGoGo perks, you’ll receive:

Let’s start with this: retrograde transits pull focus to the themes and storylines of the planet and sign. Neptune is the planet of dreams, idealism, fantasies, and grand plans. It’s also the planet of delusion, confusion and illusion, and all the things that feel bigger and more meaningful to us. Aries is the sign of inspired action, but also of passion, bravado, boldness, and leadership. It’s intrepid, pioneering, and also prone to getting pissed off. The retrograde then pulls focus to the meaningful ideals that we feel called to boldly pursue, and whether we’re tricking ourselves or being tricked.
As I wrote in my weekly forecast, this is the first retrograde since Neptune entered Aries on March 30, and—while we’re just two degrees in—the shift is palpable. With Neptune, the dream-weaving fog machine of astrology, retrograde in fiery, impatient Aries, it’s pulling focus to the Aries part of your chart, and any ideals, visions, grand fantasies, and dreams you’re currently angry / enthused / passionate about. And by “pulling focus” I mean, it’s (symbolically) slowing things down and drawing your attention to them, putting extra emphasis on the issues that matter, the ideals you’re mad about, and the bigger dreams you want to head-butt your way through.
Chances are, they aren’t working. The goals aren’t manifesting full-speed ahead, no matter how much you fiercely believe and speedily chase them. That’s part of the lesson of Neptune in Aries, I think. And the retrograde is a time to reflect—which, if you’re anything like me, you’re already rolling your eyes at that—because Neptune & Saturn in Aries both have us wanting to go-go-go after our dream goals. We don’t want to reflect or pause. Unfortunately, that’s what this dreamy slowdown of Neptune Retrograde is all about.
This doesn’t mean we can’t take action, or can’t fight for what we want. Rather, Neptune Retrograde in Aries is about figuring out what we’re fighting for—and why we’re fighting—in the first place. It’s a five-month retrograde for clearing the smoke from the battlefield. It’s a sobering, soul-searching “WTF am I even fighting for?” moment. For the world. For us. For YOU. Neptune in Aries dreams don’t live in fantasy—they want form, fuel, and fire. They want you to act. They want to be flesh and blood. And Neptune Retrograde? Well, it helps you locate the gap between the fantasy and the follow-through.
Neptune Retrograde in Aries — for the Collective
Neptune in Pisces lulled us into a 14-year dreamland, but Neptune in Aries is stirring us awake—angrily. Like waking a baby from a nap before it’s ready. Expect wails, outrage, and fist pumps (but not the celebratory kind). So, now that it’s retrograde, we’re not just getting the vision...we’re getting a mirror. The kind that shows where we’re still waiting for something that requires action. In the U.S. especially, we seem to still be holding out for a hero who is going to save us from all this darkness and chaos. (*Cue Bonnie Tyler’s hit single*) That’s part of what we need to unpack during this retrograde: our delusional hope for a political messiah.
