This week’s astrology is here to shake you awake—whether you like it or not.
Emotionally intense and in the sign of its fall, the Scorpio full moon on May 12 shines a bright light on the shame, resentments, retribution, and grievances just dying to be purged. This full moon launches us into another semi-lax week, but the vibe of the astrology is anything but relaxed. Not only because full moons mark peak moments of (emotional) activity—cue the cries, wails, and/or mania—but also because Monday’s full moon moves us towards a jolting Sun-Uranus conjunction in Taurus on Saturday that promises to electrify you with everything unexpected. So this week, the Taurus-Scorpio axis in your chart is about to get lit with some targeted attention that centers on one core theme: MOVE ON.
But that’s easier said than done. Also happening Monday into Tuesday is Saturn’s shift into the 29th (anaretic) degree of Pisces. This shift, often widely undiscussed, means two things: 1) Saturn is almost out of Pisces (thank God); and 2) we’re heading into crunch time for our limits, responsibilities, restrictions, and boundaries. Saturn in the 29th degree of Pisces is a turning point for your boundaries, a time to figure out where your responsibilities begin and end, when to start or stop, and when / where you’ve done all that you can and you can’t go any further. With Saturn in the LAST degree of Pisces, it’s time to get clear on your boundaries, because if your boundaries are unclear, you can’t move on.
⚡️ Ready for a cosmic shake-up? ⚡️
On May 17, I'm making BIG changes to my chart reading offerings—some of your faves might disappear for good. If you've been eyeing a specific deep dive into your chart, now’s the time to book before the stars (and my services) shift.
Monday’s Moon in Scorpio is a haunted house of feelings. It craves intimacy, loyalty, and trust, but guards its feelings like a dragon guards its nest. This Moon also tests those it claims to trust, torches betrayal, and feels everything at a maddening intensity. It’s no wonder the Moon struggles in this fixed water sign: comfort, ease, closeness, and nurturing are locked inside a seemingly impenetrable fortress. This intense water sign drags the Moon down into the deep waters of extreme feeling, where everything is all-or-nothing. Instead of feeling safe, emotional manipulation, suspicion, and obsession threaten to overwhelm the Moon in Scorpio, as it whispers secrets you can’t unhear. Full Moons here are emotional exorcisms, dredging up buried feelings you swore you’d bury deeper. Control is the comfort, but letting go is the lesson.
This sentiment is echoed in the electrifying Sun-Uranus conjunction on Saturday. Why? Because Uranus is the planet of shake-ups, surprises, shocks and unexpected eruptions. Since 2018, the rabble-rouser planet has been taking a cattle prod to the Taurus part of your life, shocking you awake from stagnant comfort and stability. (Or, if you’re a Leo Rising like me, it’s been disrupting your career and professional life, making stability and growth nearly impossible 🤮.) Well, Saturday’s Sun-Uranus conjunction is the last conjunction of these two planets in Taurus in our lifetimes. It’s a big deal, and it’s guaranteed to wrap up the ongoing storyline of disruption, upheaval, and instability by coinciding with one more cymbal-crashing, extra loud JOLT to this part of your life. The jolt is meant to shake you awake to the ways that comfort is controlling you and keeping you from doing something more innovative and authentic. (I just hope it isn’t too loud, you know? My ego can only take so many disruptions.)
It’s unfair to say that every Uranus transit is terrible; just as it’s unfair to say that every full moon in Scorpio is an emotionally harrowing experience filled with manipulation, secrecy, and suspicion. Because they aren’t. (Though they usually are for me: Scorpio rules my 4th house of Home & Emotional Foundations, so full moons here often shine a bright light on the emotionally fraught / manipulative / secrecy-laden early-life foundations also known as my upbringing and how that backdrop still controls my public, professional pursuits 🤮.) Still, the full moon in Scorpio leans towards intense. That’s because Scorpio is intense. Scorpio doesn’t play around, it digs deep, feels even deeper, and wants you to face the shadows of yourself. This can be both humiliating, harmful, or healing—but it can also help you move on.
This week’s astrology does indeed revolve around moving on. You’re purging, pivoting, and (hopefully) powering up. The Scorpio full moon is urging you to purge whatever deeper, darker emotions are interfering with your stability and security; anaretic Saturn in Pisces is prompting you to decide where you feel like you’ve done all you can and can’t go any further; and the Sun-Uranus conjunction is pushing you to switch things up one final time so you can be more authentic, more innovative, and hopefully more you. Anyway, that’s the gist. Here’s the actual astrology and what it means for YOU:
