The pressure is on—and so is your power. On Sunday, April 27, the Sun and Moon align in stability-and-security-building earth sign Taurus. While this April lunation is the first non-eclipse new moon since March, it isn’t as serene as Taurus would like. That’s all thanks to the tension-building squares from Mars in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius, which bring frustration and transformation to the fore, making this a charged new beginning in the Taurus part of your life.
Still, it is a new beginning. Even if it feels a little edgy or charged, April 27 is still a fresh start because that’s what new moons are: days to start over and start afresh. A new moon in Taurus is an especially good day to hit the reset button on your security, stability, and whatever you’re building, to commit to a rebuild. I’ve talked about T-squares a few times, and my favorite explanation is: T-squares create pressurized tension, a need to act, and a yearning for balance that is often challenging to achieve (especially with fixed signs like Leo, Taurus and Aquarius because they can be quite stubborn). The planet that squares the opposition is the focal point of the T-square, and it’s sort of the pressure-release valve. So, T-squares create pressure, and the best way to release their pressure is through the focal point planet; in this case, that’s the Taurus new moon.
